M&D’s - Gunsmithing Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Smyrna Sporting Goods, established in 1954 and proudly serving the hunting, trapping, shooting, fishing, and archery communities of Delaware. By utilizing M&D gunsmithing services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions:
Gunsmithing Services
- Firearm Intake Policy
- All firearms must be unloaded.
- A mandatory safety inspection is conducted prior to acceptance.
- Services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Firearms can only be received from and released to the owner.
- Firearms can only be received from and released to the owner.
- We reserve the right to decline service or modification on specific firearms due to safety, legality, or expertise considerations.
- Customers must be 18 years or older to engage in gunsmithing services.
- Non-Delaware residents are responsible for compliance with their home and Delaware state laws.
- Background Check & Compliance
- All services adhere to federal, state, and local firearm laws, including compliance with ATF regulations (e.g., Form 4473 where applicable).
- We maintain detailed records of all firearms and services in accordance with legal requirements.
- Estimates, Deposits, & Payment
- Gunsmith will contact customer to provide an estimate before service begins.
- A deposit may be required for extensive or specialized services.
- Gunsmith will contact the customer upon completion of service with a total amount due.
- Full CASH payment is due upon service completion and prior to the release of any firearm.
- Liability & Warranty
- M&D warrants workmanship for 90 days under normal use.
- If a firearm is damaged while in our possession, we will make every effort to:
- Repair or replace the firearm, if feasible, or
- Provide the fair market value of the firearm in the condition it was brought into the store.
- We are not liable for damages resulting from misuse, unauthorized modifications, or factors beyond the scope of our services.
- Firearm Storage & Abandonment Policy
- Firearms must be picked up within 30 days of service completion. Storage fees may apply thereafter.
- Firearms left unclaimed after 90 days are considered abandoned and may be disposed of in accordance with Delaware state laws.
- Safety & Responsible Ownership
- Smyrna Sporting Goods & M&D, participates in state safety initiatives, including suicide prevention outreach and responsible gun ownership programs.
- We reserve the right to decline services that conflict with our commitment to community safety and legal compliance.
